Workshop on the “Teatro della Carezza” led by Maria Bonzanigo

Workshop
Deadline:

Two practical workshops on the invisible gesture, where different performing arts come together – theatre, dance, acrobatics, and music.
Organized in collaboration with LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, as part of the LAC edu programme, under the overall direction of Maria Bonzanigo, together with artists and teachers of the Company.

The aim of this edition is to reflect on what constitutes a stage scene.
The creation of a choreography or a musical piece inherently contains the idea of writing: a series of elements carefully selected, thoughtfully considered, imagined and reimagined, rehearsed and refined, before finally being interpreted. Writing requires a long period of time to shape a brief moment that can then be repeated, performed again, and reinterpreted.
Improvisation is, by its very nature, the opposite: an act that begins and ends, unique and unrepeatable.
Between these two extremes lies a tension that will serve as the main focus of reflection throughout this course, through sensing, observing, developing, and giving form..
