Outdoor Art Lab encourages artistic exploration in public spaces, fostering dialogue between artists, local communities and the urban landscape while reimagining Split’s public spaces as places of connection and creativity.

𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗬?
Artists and collectives from Europe working in contemporary circus, outdoor arts or related disciplines, regardless of experience level.

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼:
• Push the boundaries of contemporary circus and outdoor arts
• Create work connected to public spaces
• Want to engage with the local community in Split

𝗙𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
The residency focuses on research and experimentation. There is no requirement to create or premiere a final work. Instead, artists are encouraged to explore new ideas and develop outdoor creations shaped by the spaces they inhabit.

• 14-day residency in Split, Croatia
• Production support
• Mentorship and feedback
• Networking opportunities
• Promotion and visibility
• Workshop organization
• Possibility to present your work during Split Calling Festival 2027 (depending on the residency development)

Each selected artist or collective will receive up to €1000 to cover travel, accommodation and production costs. Additional funding may be available.
