Circumstances, represented by Aurora Nova, is a circus and dance company under the artistic direction of choreographer Piet Van Dycke. Circumstances creates wordless, impactful performances in which dance and circus strengthen one another. The company always works in, for, and with different circumstances: from site-specific to theatre productions, using a wide range of circus disciplines and engaging diverse audiences — from young to old. In everyday moments, they seek balance, trust, and collaboration. As business manager of Circumstances, Jonas Vermeulen works closely with the team to create and present circus for and by everyone, within a variety of ‘circumstances’ — ensuring the business translation of the company’s artistic plans.
Rode Boom creates visual road trips that take the viewer into their own reality and far beyond. Stage performances interwoven with surreal and symbolic imagery also find their way into public spaces. In Kurt Demey’s artistic palette, techniques from the world of illusion and mentalism are blended with visual arts and performance.
