Of heb je een artistiek zakelijk, educatief of communicatief profiel maar is circus voor jou nog onbekend terrein? Circuscentrum organiseert een crash course om je wegwijs te maken in het diverse landschap en zijn mogelijkheden. Hoe vraag je subsidies aan? Waar vind je andere financiële middelen? Waar vind je geschikte plekken om te maken en te tonen? We duiken een ganse dag in het reilen en zeilen van de sector. Ook Cultuurloket komt langs om zijn werking uit de doeken te doen.

New to the circus sector? On 9 October 2026, we at PERPLX are organising our crash course for the second time to help you find your feet in this diverse landscape and explore its possibilities.
New to the circus sector? Have you just graduated as a circus artist, switched from another field, or do you have an artistic, business, educational or communication background but little knowledge of the circus world? Circuscentrum is here to help you get started. We’re offering a one-day crash course to introduce you to the diverse landscape of the circus sector — and the many opportunities it holds. How do you apply for subsidies? Where can you find additional funding? Which spaces are available for creation and performance? We’ll explore all of this and more during an intensive, informative day. Cultuurloket will also join us to explain how they support artists and organisations.

How do you start a funding application, how do you determine a buy-out fee, and how do you manage your budget allocation? |
2.30–3.00 pm: Let’s go for a walk
Guided tour of the PERPLX residency programme
3.00 pm–4.00 pm: Let’s talk business How do you organise yourself? How do you pay yourself and others? And what about copyright? 4.00 pm–5.00 pm: Let’s talk money Crowdfunding, sponsorship, patronage, tax shelters and fundraising. Seeing the wood for the trees and plenty of inspiration.
